Having enjoyed overlanding in many other states and experiencing some here at home, Billy Free (Founder) took note the lack of dedicated resources for such adventures in Louisiana.  Encouraged and optimistic he set about to create, what other states have to offer in backcountry exploration, right here at home. Billy created his other passion BFREE Outdoor Adventures which eventually spawned the LOAT. Coincidentally, Kenneth Hicks had a similar experience of his own, with the addition of a Dual sport motorcycle and a teenager with a new found passion for motorcycle adventures, he found himself wondering what if any options existed here at home that they might enjoy together.  Deciding ultimately, to start plotting out his own. In so doing discovered Billy and the LOAT. A friendship of kindred spirits formed and the rest is history. Together they hope to elevate the LOAT to new heights. With their ultimate dream to take it to 501c3 Non profit and continue to give back to these communities they so enjoy.
